First Steps to Data Recovery...

2. If you've accidentally deleted files or emptied the Recycle Bin, we recommend you do not install software or save additional files, for this may permanently overwrite the deleted items. 3. If you discover files are missing and believe they have been deleted, do not write, install software, or save anything to the drive where the missing files were located, because this may permanently delete your data. Instead, save the files on a CD or other storage device.
