Walk into any office in the world, and what do you see?—computers. In the last 25 years, they've become our primary business tool. Virtually every bit of written communication we produce is facilitated, transmitted, or in some other way manipulated by them. Reports, spreadsheets, letters, email, marketing materials—even our phone systems—are computerized. And, it extends beyond the office. More than a third of all American homes have computers in them.
Problems and Solutions
Despite their prevalence, many people aren't getting the most from their hardware and software. People go to work, sit down at their machines and perform tasks. When we talk to business owners and their employees, the one line most often repeated is, "I know enough to be dangerous". We take that to mean they have a handful of tasks they know how to perform, but when there's something to be done that falls outside these parameters, then that's where the problem arises.
